There is nothing to beat a really good, thick, wooden board and there is no better wood to use than olive wood. It is hard wearing and with a little care will last a lifetime. Added to this it has natural anti-bacterial properties so will only need hand washing and is not suitable for dishwashers. At this size the medium Rustic Serving Board could be used for chopping vegetables, meat or as a bread board, as well as a totally unique and natural serving board. The handle makes it easy to serve food from the board or to pass food around the table to guests. These chopping boards also provide the perfect surface to serve up cheese and cold meats. These olive wood products are hand made from ancient trees and consequently each piece is completely unique and will vary to the one represented in these photographs. Because of this we do not keep a large stock and most boards will be made to order. When your Olive Wood products arrive they will be covered in a coating of olive oil but will soon dry out naturally. It is advisable to coat them regularly with olive oil in order to stop them drying out completely.
